Martin Jovanoski and Kamil Konecny are co-chairing PG Accuracy
CIVL Plenary 2023 unanimously approved Martin Jovanoski (MKD) and Kamil Konecny (CZE) to co-chair the Paragliding Accuracy Committee. Martin has been elected to the chair of PGA in 2021 but midterm he invited Kamil to cooperate on sports development. The last plenary has agreed on this concept.
Martin has been flying since he was 11 years old. He is a paragliding professional, working as a school instructor and guide, organising PG tours, mentoring, and SIV courses. Martin is also an experienced organiser of FAI Category 1 and 2 competitions both in Cross Country and Accuracy. He was awarded FAI Air sports medal for co-organising PG XC Worlds in North Macedonia in 2019. He has been an active member of the CIVL PGA committee since 2015 and of the PWCA committee since 2014. In his free time, he enjoys flying all kinds of wings, including sailplanes, paramotors, and hang gliders.
Kamil Konecny, a software developer, and entrepreneur by the background, has been paragliding since 1994. He has participated in many category 1 and 2 events both in Cross Country and PGA. A paragliding instructor and Inspector of Operations at LAA CR (Light Aircraft Association of Czech Republic) Kamil also organised a lot of FAI events including the 2011 World PGA Championships in Beskydy. He is currently vice chairman of the Paragliding Union of the LAA Czech Republic, a member of the Executive Board LAA, and a CIVL delegate from the Czech Republic.
Kamil and Martin set their current goals at PGA as:
- Develop and implement a new scoring system
- Help organise large successful events
- Maintain relationships between organisers and competitors
