After completing 11 rounds during the week, the 12th and final round was started June 3.

Unfortunately, due to adverse weather conditions, there were initially rear winds on the Launch Point preventing take off and then adverse thermic conditions and rotors on the Target Area, the round was stopped after a few flights.

The final results of the championship are as follows: 

Individual

• 1st: Tanapat Leangaiem - Thailand
• 2nd : Wang Hong Ji - China
• 3rd: Zhu Zhi Feng - China

Female

• 1st: Mariko Ito - Japan
• 2nd: Nunnapat Puchong - Thailand
• 3rd: Dagyyeom Lee - Korea

Teams

• 1st: China
• 2nd: Korea
• 3rd: Thailand 

Note that members of the China team averaged less than 8cms landing for their team score. Results have been posted and there have been no protests (see http://asianparagliding.kz).

The 3rd FAI Asian Paragliding Accuracy Championship was held in Taldykorgan, Kazakhstan. Fifty competitors from seven countries are enjoying the variable local weather, from bright sunshine and blue skies to thunder, wind and rain.  The organizers have done an excellent job in looking after the pilots and officials.
