CIVL is happy to announce that it has hired Elena Filonova as its Administrator. Her task is to release elected volunteers from administrative tasks and run CIVL on a day-to-day base.

Elena Filonova, by origin Russian living in Italy, has got about 20 years of working experience in various fields. Elena has worked as a journalist, PR and advertisement manager, junior graphic designer, webmaster, web site administrator and system tester. Her first engagement with sports began when she was part of the international team working on SOCHI-2014 Olympic bid. During the past 5 year years she has been engaged in volunteer support of Airtribune – competition hosting and live tracking service for free-flying pilots. Also, she has worked in organization teams at a number of FAI Category 1 and 2 competitions. She is a paraglider pilot.

Elena Filonova says:  ‘It’s a great honour for me to be selected to work at CIVL. Free flying sports have become my real passion and concern during these years. I’ll use my knowledge for the benefit of CIVL and the pilots’ community, and I will do my best to run the administration and to add my input in promoting our beloved sports to the world.”

UPD: Since 2018 she is also in a position of Competition coordinator, taking care of sanctioning, ranking, event management and respective equipment.
