Krushevo Paragliding Euro Midway Through

Sunny weather but sometimes weak conditions does not make this European championship a piece of cake.

Five tasks have been flown and four maximum are still to come, weather permitting. The game is a tight one, although the French Honorin Hamard, Laurie Genovese and their team have a significant lead (respectively 117, 125 and 92 points). Everything is still possible. Hold your breath and follow the event on Airtribune and Flymaster.

  • Task 1: 88,9 km – 47 pilots at goal – Luca Donini (ITA) – Kirsty Cameron (GBR) – Italy
  • Task 2: 77,4 km – 100 pilots at goal – Primoz Susa (SLO) – Seiko Fukuoka-Neuville (FRA) – Slovenia
  • Task 3: 86,4 km – 72 pilots at goal – Marco Busetta (ITA) – Seiko Fukuoka-Neuville (FRA) – France
  • Task 4: 101,5 km – 67 pilots at goal – Honorin Hamard (FRA) – Laurie Genovese – (Czech Republic)
  • Task 5: 82,9 km – 66 pilots at goal – Francisco Javier Reina (ESP) – Silvia Buzzi Ferraris (ITA) – Spain

Women at goal

By voting a specific rule during its last Plenary, CIVL allowed to increase by a third the number of women that would have been usually accepted. These women are faring good, making goal, entering the task top 10…

On rest day, a special meeting was held to discuss women in competition and what the CIVL can do to help promote more participation.

Also, last February CIVL created a "Women's Dynamic" working group with a dedicated page on the CIVL site.
