New PG Competition Class definition and requirements

Since the 2013 Plenary, the CIVL Paragliding Committee worked hard to implement the Plenary decision on the new CIVL EN Competition Class for paragliders and define realistic requirements. By now our work has progressed to a stage where we feel the definition is sound and complete. But before presenting it to the CIVL delegates to vote on it, we are now seeking feedback from anybody who cares outside of CIVL.

We are publishing two documents:

  1. A "Request for Comments" (RFC) on our draft of the CIVL EN Competition Class definition
  2. A document that repeats the content of the draft CIVL EN Competition Class definition, but which additionally gives a lot of detail information on our thinking behind the individual paragraphs.

We are looking forward to receiving feedbacks by November 30, 2013. This will allow us to take opinions into consideration when creating the final version which will published on CIVL website on January 2, 2014 then be voted on by the 2014 Plenary on February 19 and 20, 2014.

Do not hesitate to contact the CIVL Paragliding Committee if you have any questions regarding the CIVL EN Competition Class definition.
