The 6th FAI Pan-American Paragliding Championships and the Test event of the 19th FAI Worlds have launched in Andradas, Brazil. The event will be held from Sep 15 to Sep 22, 2024. It is organized by Vetor Esportes with the support of CAB Comissão de Aerodesporto Brasileira. 125 pilots from 17 nations came to compete at the event - the most numerous being Brazil and Argentina.

The Meet director of the event is Vinicius Santos Matuk Ferreira -  he was also the meet director of Pan American 2022. The scorer is Zenilson Rocha Ferreira. FAI Steward is Goran Dimiskovski. FAI Jury present at the event consists of Bill Hughes, Igor Erzen, and Cristiano Pereira.

The main take-off of the event - Pico doGavião - is located on the border of the states of São Paulo and Minas Gerais. This will provide a great variety of task options: Flights in the territory of the State of São Paulo are 70% predominant in the plain. Flights in the territory of Minas Gerais are 70% predominantly mountain.
