Zeljko Ovuka, CIVL Vice President and the General Secretary of the NAC of Serbia, was awarded an FAI Silver medal for his many years of energetic commitment to air sports, in which he has not only achieved numerous national records and championship titles in Serbia as a paraglider but has also shown versatile and admirable leadership at the administrative and organisational level for the Aeronautical Union of Serbia and the FAI Hang Gliding and Paragliding Commission (CIVL). 

The event took place at the 2023 FAI Awards Ceremony, the most prestigious event in the world of air sports, on October 23, 2023 in Dayton, Ohio, USA. It was hosted by the National Aeronautic Association of the United States of America. The ceremony marked the beginning of the 2023 FAI General Conference, which gathers Delegates from all over the world representing FAI’s member organisations. 

We congratulate Zeljko and wish him the best of luck in his sports and professional career. Besides being a CVIL and NAC official Zeljko Ovuka is also a successful paraglider pilot competing in PWC and many FAI events also as a national team member.
